課程概述 |
《社會經濟學》(Economic Sociology)，在性質上類似《法律經濟學》(Law and Economics)；利用經濟學的分析架構，探討社會學領域裡的問題。
本課程過去所採用的教科書，以Coleman的經典鉅作為主。Coleman曾擔任美國社會學學會的會長，長期在芝加哥大學任教。他是諾貝爾獎得主Gary Becker的好友，在社會學領域為「理性選擇模型」開疆闢土。1990年的鉅作是Coleman集大成之作，多篇書評表示：如果諾貝爾獎設有社會學門，則Coleman當之無愧\\\。對經濟學（者）而言，Coleman的鉅作不僅是學術上的珍品；更重要的，是作者提出一清晰有力的分析架構。不但在智識上有相當的啟發性，在實際面對社會問題時，也有手到擒來、一以貫之的明快。
今年在課程安排上，將大幅調整，作新的嘗試。教材將以Swedberg 的訪談錄為主，每週進度一章，以及各章主角的主要論文之一。訪談錄的對象，包括經濟學者和社會學者，也有多位諾貝爾經濟獎得主。每週進度的訪談對象和對應的論文，參考課程綱要的最後。 |

課程目標 |
以生活中的實際經驗為材料，以日常用語為工具，探討抽象的理論性問題。課程有兩大目標：第一，培養同學抽象思考能力；掌握相關的理論，認知並解讀社會現象。第二，站在巨人的肩膀上看世界，享受智識上一覽無遺、美景盡收眼底的樂趣。這裡的巨人，是指諾貝爾獎得主貝克（Gary Becker）、布坎楠（James Buchanan）、寇斯（Ronald Coase）、和思想史上的大師韋伯（Max Weber）、哈伯瑪斯（Jürgen Habermas）等人。 |

課程要求 |
(1) 適合碩博士班同學選修，全程以討論方式進行。
(2) 由同學輪流作摘要、擬定討論題，並提出報告。 |
